Logline: An elderly man living in isolation receives an unexpected late night visitor eager to uncover a dark past
Union Status: Currently being produced as non-union (this could change)
Intended Usage: Film Festivals / Investor Pitch for feature funding / Possible Streaming
ROLE: WILLIAM - Open Ethnicity - Elderly Man (can play 60’s-70’s)
Tentative Shoot Dates: AUG. 5th & 6th (no more than 10 hours a day)
Shoot Location: Northern KY — Production will potentially cover travel expenses/hotel for actors traveling more than 45 mile radius.
Hair/makeup/wardrobe provided or with stipend if actor furnishes own wardrobe
Rate of Pay: $50/day + reel material (craft services also provided, as is travel if needed)
About the director:
After graduating Northern Kentucky University as an English Lit. major, John Zanardelli went on to study film at the prestigious New York Film Academy. His background in writing and film studies helped John pave a path in production. With a decade in the entertainment business, John has garnered an extensive knowledge in production; from directing and screenwriting, to script supervising, set dressing, and working in the grip and electric department in collaboration with IATSE. His directing credits include the feature film, Haven Hill (2015), the short film, Reaching Out (2016), and his latest release, Figments. His production credits include critically acclaimed films such as Carol, The Strangers: Prey At Night, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, The Old Man & The Gun, Extremely Wicked Shockingly Evil & Vile, & Haunt.
John Zanardelli has worked alongside Academy Award winning directors, like Ron Howard, Barry Levinson, and John Ridley, and Academy Award nominees, Todd Hayes, Yorgos Lanthimos, and Luca Guadagnino. He currently lives with his family in the midwest where he continues writing, directing, and collaborating with artists and producers in the region.
