About Kirk:
From the start of his career, Kirk Baltz has studied extensively in NYC and LA with such noted teachers as Sandra Seacat, Greg Zittle, Susan Batson, Tony Greco, and John Markland. These teachers are responsible for the training (and in some cases the continued coaching), of such actors as:
Ryan Gosling, Nicole Kidman, Andrew Garfield, Remme Malik, Scoot McNairy, Laura Dern, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Lange, Harvey Keitel and Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
Kirk has appeared in such noted films as:
Reservoir Dogs,
Bulworth,
Natural Born Killers,
Face/Off,
Dances With Wolves.
In recent years, he's appeared in Taylor Hackford’s Parker, Deniz Erguven’s Kings, and the critically acclaimed short films The Armoire by Evan Cooper, and Demon by Caleb Slain.
He's appeared in the television shows:
Snowfall and NCIS:Los Angeles as well as 24, The Fugitive, Will & Grace, The Shield, Without A Trace, NYPD Blue.

About the MEISNER MAGIC 2-DAY INTENSIVE:
There’s a tremendous difference between hearing things and really listening. We learn about this difference through the practice of the Meisner technique.
Pure listening changes us. It gives hope and helps the Actor to take clear action with no alternative. There’s no middle ground. We are no longer muddy or murky with self-doubt, anxiety, or indecision. Nothing is vague. We become free to respond from our emotional, physical, feeling body rather than critical thinking and move into need-based work.
Through the work of Sanford Meisner, we learn “nothing is casual” and the stakes must always be high. When we listen with every fiber of our being to what and how something is being said, we respond truthfully from our impulses. We are filled with conviction and become unstoppable. There’s no hesitation. Impulses take the place of thinking and real doing takes the place of pretending.
Casting looks first and foremost for an Actor’s ability to connect with text and who they are working with. Our new world of self tapes and online auditioning is here to stay. We will take advantage of our being together in person to focus on and distill what needs to happen in order for strong self tapes and effective online auditioning to take hold.
Our foundation during this course will be connecting and creating with truth, conviction and clarity.
We will also be working with family Archetypes and Sam Shepard’s classic play “True West” … making his characters gender fluid.
The two brothers could easily become two sisters…etc.
This promises to be a transformational workshop for Actors where confidence will be gained through risk taking, keeping things simple and living with integrity.
